breath, centre, control, precision, flow and calm — six principles you take home from every class.

An individual approach

We start with you,
not with exercises.

Every body has its own story. So before you start training, we want to hear it.

  1. 01

    A conversation

You tell us about yourself: how you feel, what you need and what you would like to change.

  2. 02

    Getting to know your movement

Ania looks at your posture and the way you move. With curiosity, never judgement.

  3. 03

    Your plan

Together you plan your sessions: the exercises, their versions and the pace that suit you.

  4. 04

    Calm progress

You train at your own pace. Ania follows your progress and adjusts the exercises when your body is ready for more.

Why only private (1:1) sessions?

I deeply believe that full success, lasting results and safe work with the body can only be achieved one to one. You will find no group classes in my studio – all my attention, knowledge and time are for you alone.

  • 100% attention and personalisation

Every step, exercise and load is chosen for your current abilities, your anatomy and your goals.

  • Precision and safety

I watch every movement you make and correct the details as we go, which gives you full confidence and rules out the risk of injury.

  • Intimate comfort

You practise in a private, calm space with no rush, no judgement and no distractions. This is your time to recover and build strength.

How we work

Four things we pay attention to.

  1. 01

    Breath

Movement starts with the breath. We teach you to breathe so each exercise feels lighter and more precise.

  2. 02

    Centre

The deep muscles of the abdomen, back and pelvic floor hold your posture. Every exercise starts from them.

  3. 03

    Control

Slower means more precise. What counts is the quality of each repetition, not how many you do.

  4. 04

    Flow

The exercises join into one calm sequence. After class you feel light, not worn out.

About me

Hi, I’m Ania!

My name is Anna Rybczonek. I am a certified Pilates instructor, and Pracownia Pilatesu in Rumia is the place I created out of a passion for mindful, safe and precise movement.

My work rests on the Pilates method – a system of exercises that strengthens the deep muscles, improves posture, restores flexibility and teaches full control of your own body. I combine deep respect for the classical method with modern knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics.

I chose to work only one to one, because I believe that is the only way I can give you 100% of my attention. Every body is different, with its own history, past injuries, limits and goals. At the studio I prepare a space and a training plan made only for you.

Sessions take place in an intimate, discreet atmosphere, in a fully equipped studio. This is time reserved for you alone – no crowd, no rush, no noise.

“Whether you are returning to activity after a break or want to look after your long-term fitness, I warmly invite you into my world. Let’s discover strength in your own rhythm.”

The method and its roots

Pilates at its source.

This unique form of movement was created by Joseph Pilates – a visionary born in Germany at the end of the 19th century, who devoted his life to studying the biomechanics of the human body, anatomy and balance in movement.

As a child he struggled with serious illness, which led him to look for a way to build strength and resilience. During the First World War, helping injured patients, he began attaching springs to hospital beds – the first ancestors of today’s apparatus, including the Reformer and the Cadillac.

In the 1920s Joseph and his wife Clara opened their first studio in New York. Remarkably effective in recovering from injury and building deep strength, the method at once won over dancers, athletes and actors. Joseph called his system Contrology – the art of the mind’s full control over the body.

A unique line of succession

Joseph Pilates never created a formal certification programme for teachers – he passed his knowledge on directly, in his studio. Those who learned directly from him and his wife Clara are known in the Pilates world as the Elders.

She devoted her life to preserving the purity, precision and depth of the method, creating the international teacher programme Lolita’s Legacy.

Certification and my training

I am proud to have trained within Lolita’s Legacy – a comprehensive, multi-stage teacher programme, organised in Poland for the first time in its history under the eye of my mentor, Kateryna Smirnova.

Taking part in that first, historic Polish edition took hundreds of hours of practice, analysis of biomechanics, work on all the apparatus (Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Spine Corrector), observation of sessions, teaching practice and demanding examinations. At Pracownia Pilatesu you can be sure you work with an instructor whose knowledge comes straight from the pure, unbroken source of the method.

What you gain from our sessions

  • A stronger body and better core stability.
  • Deeper awareness of your own body and more freedom of movement.

In the words of the method’s creator

1 of 4

“Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness.”

“True flexibility can be achieved only when all muscles are uniformly developed.”

“Concentrate on the correct movements each time you exercise, lest you do them improperly and thus lose all the vital benefits of their value.”

“Contrology develops the body uniformly, corrects wrong postures, restores physical vitality, invigorates the mind, and elevates the spirit.”

Joseph H. Pilates, Return to Life Through Contrology (1945)

Questions

Before you come.

Do I need any previous Pilates experience?

No. One-to-one sessions are ideal for beginners and advanced practitioners alike. The whole session is fitted 100% to your level of fitness, your abilities and how you feel that day. Step by step I will introduce you to working with your body.

What does the first session look like?

We begin with a short talk about your registration card, any complaints and the goals you come with. Then we move to a calm introductory session, in which I look at how your body moves and introduce you to the basics of work on the apparatus.

Fill it in onlineYou can fill in the registration card now; it takes only 3 minutes.

What should I wear?

Choose comfortable, stretchy sportswear that does not restrict your movement. Zips and metal: no sharp elements (zips, metal studs, buttons), to protect the leather upholstery of the equipment. Hair: avoid hard clips and pins at the back of the head – lying on your back, they press on the neck and risk injury; a soft hair tie works best. Socks: for hygiene and safety (a stable foot) we practise in grip socks.

I am recovering from an injury or pregnant. Can I come?

Yes, one-to-one Pilates is for people after an injury and for pregnant women. Note it on your registration card or call before your first session, so we can talk about what is safe for you. If in doubt, check with your doctor or physiotherapist first.

How do I book and pay for a session?

You can book directly with me or through this site. Payment is online only: BLIK online when you book (the code from your banking app; payments are handled by Tpay), a transfer or BLIK to the studio’s phone, or your pass. A single session is 230 zł, a pass of 4 sessions 840 zł (210 zł per session).

How does the pass work and how long is it valid?

A pass of 4 sessions is in your name and stays valid for a full 6 weeks from the day of your first session. Its validity starts with your first training, which gives you full flexibility and peace of mind in planning, without time pressure. Sessions not used within that time expire.

What if I have to cancel or reschedule?

The studio has a 24-hour rule. You can reschedule or cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the planned session: use the link in your confirmation text or e-mail, and your payment or pass entry comes back. Cancelling less than 24 hours before the session means the session counts as held; in that case please call or text +48 603 207 221.
